The benefits of servo feeding for stamping processing?
Release time:2021-08-01

Servo feeder is commonly used in stamping processing equipment, suitable for a variety of different material thickness and width. Servo feed can also be programmed separately for different molds. Just select the corresponding program and step, and set the release.

During the stamping process production, a servo feeder can set many parameters in a stamping cycle. For example, if in-die tapping is being performed and the strip can only move within 90 degrees of the press cycle, it can be programmed on the servo feed. This will affect the speed of operation to some extent, because the feed must be completed in a short time.

Another very good feature is the ability to fine-tune the tiny numerical steps during stamping, when producing some very small, precise molds. The advantage is that the material can be fed in a Z shape, and the material strip can not only move from left to right, but also move from front to back. This feed effect can reduce the winding between parts and save raw materials. The two shafts moving at the same time increase speed, and the parts are nested in the die strip, resulting in a shorter step.

Finally, one of the biggest benefits of servo feeding is its ability to sense the resistance of material feeding. If the die is in operation while stamping, a scrap pops out, or there is an in-die tap, a tap breaks, or a punch breaks and gets stuck in the tape and the die, then the tape may not move forward. When the servo feed detects the maximum force required for the feed belt, it stops running and pulls back to the previous step. This will not result in the loss of the stamping die due to a step error.
